I might ramble sometimes, but generally, I write about three things
Managing People
Managing people is a skill set. It is teachable and it is learnable, but you have to commit to understanding that it is a different skill set than the one that got you the people management position.
Remote People Management
Let’s do people management—but backwards and in heels. And with distractions. Also, let’s cut out the commute and some of the social aspects.
Work/Life
It is easy to conflate the two—especially when you’re remote. Let’s don’t. It isn’t healthy and it isn’t actually good for the company, either. Burnout is real and no one will set your work/life balance for you.
